Commissioner Chair Lee Randall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioners Lori Fortner and John Olson were present.

Commissioners reviewed and approved the consent agenda. The minutes of October 17, 2024, meeting were read, approved and ordered published.

The propane bid opening began at 10:00 a.m. with Gary Alderman, Alderman Oil and Eric Reid, Blakeman Propane present. The bids received are as follows: Blakeman Propane, $1.24/gallon- adjusted or the entire year at $1.52/gallon. Alderman Oil, .7658/gallon- entire contract. John Olson motioned to accept the bid from Alderman Oil, Lori Fortner seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried.

The fuel bid opening began at 10:15 a.m. with Gary Alderman, Alderman Oil and Eric Reid, Blakeman Propane present. The bids received are as follows: Alderman’s Quickstop, Station Only- $.08 discount - will not provide fuel verification. Alderman Oil Gasoline: E-10 Unleaded, 87 Octane $3.15617; Premium Unleaded, 91 Octane $3.85379; Diesel: $3.19/Dyed #2 Diesel; $3.74/Dyed #1 Diesel. John Olson motioned to accept the Alderman Oil bid, Lori Fortner seconded the motion, motion carried.

Clerk and Recorder Cynde Jo Gatlin met with the board to discuss the county security camera upgrade. Gatlin presented the list of current camera contracts, and the board asked for further details on the contracts. Gatlin also presented options to the commissioners for additional physician assistance for the clinic on Fridays. The board requested Gatlin to schedule a meeting with the clinic to discuss the scheduling options.

Sheriff Boman’s scheduled meetings were cancelled.

The DES scheduled meeting was cancelled.

Clerk of District Court Vanna Byrd met with the board to discuss her department.

Jackie Beardsley, Extension Agent, stopped in to visit with the commissioners regarding the Heart and Soul grant application. The board explained to Jackie that the county is unable to be a co-fiscal agent. Jackie will contact PREDC to be the fiscal agent.

The commissioners spent the remainder of the day conducting administrative duties and adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
