Letters To The Editor

Editor:

The poppies are to remember the previous veterans who gave their lives defending our democracy for “we the people”. When one thinks of the soldiers of the War for Independence and what they did with such limited supplies, training and such, we really are blessed to have the constitution and our rights that include the right to vote.

Next week the pivotal election to decide whether this nation continues it's slide into a globalist nightmare or a return to sanity will be over. As this county traditionally votes, the hope would be Trump the victor. I'm in that majority.

The battle doesn't end there. Our Constitution enumerates the powers delegated to the federal government, and thankfully includes many balances and checks that protect our liberty. Those elected swear an oath: protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Many in both parties violate that oath.

Jefferson said “Put not your faith in men, but bind them down to the chains of the constitution” A first step would be to study that God-inspired document. It fits in your shirt pocket. A series called “The Constitution is the Solution”, is available on You Tube and a great study of the American system. Watch it with friends.
