Zeason Schaffer, 2024 Broadus Grad, was named last week as the Mon-Dak volleyball player of the week. The MCC freshman outside hitter helped her team go 4-0 in early October, with two conference wins. Schaffer leads the conference in kills, laying down 391 kills, and is 7th in the country in NJCAA Division II volleyball.
The Mon-Dak Athletic Conference consists of seven volleyball teams from Montana and North Dakota, including Miles Community College, The ND State College Of Science in Wahpeton, ND, Bismarck State College, Williston State College, Dawson Community College, Lake Region State, in Devil's Lake, ND, and Dakota College at Bottineau, ND.
Miles Community College is currently 7-5 in conference play, in third place, and 17-15 overall.
Schaffer is the daughter of Curran & Sommer Schaffer of Broadus. She is joined on the team by Mia Mader of Broadus, who has made 287 digs in her Freshman season.
