On October 14 and 15, 2024 the Broadus FFA chapter sent a livestock team and our senior horse team to compete at the NILE livestock and horse judging competitions. Our competitors performed against some tough competition from all across Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. Overall our teams performed very well against some very stiff competition.
On October 14, our senior livestock competitors headed to Billings to compete. Our team consisted of Laney Williams, Addison Draine, Maggie Mader, Ava Landa, and Tabitha Escott. Our team placed 31st out of a field of 61 teams. Our top three placers were Laney Williams who placed 89th, Addison Draine placed 111th, Maggie Mader placed 170th.
On October 15, our senior horse team competed in a field of 41 teams, and came out placing 6th. Our competitors on this team were Liv Landa, Kiara Kelly, Laney Williams, and Tabitha Escott. Laney Williams placed 6th, Liv Landa placed 22nd, Kiara Kelly placed 49th, and Tabitha Escott placed 113th. This was out of 145 competitors in the Senior Division.
