Hawks Forfeit Game, Live To Fight Another Day

As a result of player injuries last week, Hawk football forfeited their game at Culbertson. The move came about as Broadus had several players coming off injuries and another coming off concussion protocol, meaning at best Broadus could make a full compliment of players on the field.

The move allowed the Hawks to recuperate and ready themselves for Plentywood, this Thursday in Plentywood. The Wildcats are currently 3-5, having beaten Wibaux 39-26 in week 2, and Poplar 50-6 in week six. Plentywood was able to put up 18 points against Scobey, holding their opponent to 36 points in week 3. By comparison, the Hawks lost 8-48 against Scobey, 24-46 against Wibaux, and will play Poplar in the final game of the season, on October 25th at home. That game will also be senior night for the Hawks seniors and their parents. Poplar is listed with a 1-6 record.

This week in practice, the Broadus coaching staff continue to train the players into new roles of those taken out by injury, and plans are to have 9 players for the trip to Plentywood.
