Big Sky, Big Leadership participants began their leadership journey on September 16th. We started with a smaller group with 11 of the 17 registered participants joining for a day filled with skill building and community tours.
Participants began their day by exploring Real Colors with program facilitator, Jackie Beardsley. Jackie was Real Colors trained in Spring of 2024, and excited to bring the training to Powder River County. Participants learned more about their own personalities and approaches to their environment and learned how others may approach things differently. Through participation they developed an understanding of themselves and how they work with others.
After spending the morning building their own skill sets, participants headed into the community to learn more about the businesses and business owners within our community. Thank you to Kyle Copelan of North Fork Precision and Heather Desatoff of The Coffee Shop for providing a tour of their businesses, sharing their business philosophy and sharing the promise they see in Broadus.
The steering committee and Big Sky, Big Leadership participants are looking forward to our next session to be held October 21st.
