MSGA Launches Fire Relief and Recovery Hub for Producers in Southeast Montana

HELENA, Mont. (September 11, 2024) – In response to a need identified by Remington Fire community partners during a community roundtable, the Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) has developed a one-stop resource for ranchers and landowners recovering from the devastating effects of fire in Southeast Montana. The webpage brings together forms, fact sheets, and contact information for programs relevant to producers from county, state, and federal entities. This new resource can be viewed at https://mtbeef.org/wildfire-relief

On a local level, this webpage includes contact information for supply coordinators, producer grant opportunities, and fencing coordinators. It also includes the damage assessment form for producers, which is crucial to trigger specific programs. Affected producers and landowners of the Remington Fire should fill out the damage assessment form as soon as possible.

The webpage also provides information from USDA Farm Service Agency, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Bureau of Land Management with USFS information coming soon. MSGA will remain in contact with all relevant agencies and continue to update the site as new information becomes available.
