Juried Traveling Art Exhibit Now On Display At Library

The 2024 Juried Traveling Art Exhibit from the Waterworks Art Museum in Miles City will be on display at the Henry A. Malley Memorial Library thru October 10th.

The theme of the year's show is "The Myth of Beauty". This years juror was Miles City artist, Carolyn Zimmerman. She judged nearly 60 artworks by 42 artists, taking considerations like composition, form, color, and innovative interpretation into account when choosing prize recipients. Paintings, drawings, photography, digital, sculpture, and mixed media are all represented in the show.

"This show's unique theme resulted in an extremely diverse body of work that will definitely make viewers reconsider what beauty means to them. This collection portrays beauty in surprisingly unconventional ways, and I think viewers will enjoy the challenge of selecting a favorite", says Executive Director Jenn Hall Tooke.

The exhibit is sponsored by Stockman Bank with additional support from the Montana Arts Council, Montana Cultural Trust, and National Endowment for the Arts.

Library hours are: 10 am to 5 pm Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 10 am to 6 pm Tuesday and Friday
