Over a dozen bums and their favorite human friends were a highlight at the Powder River County fair. They kicked off the afternoon shows on Friday. Judge Emma Mercer deemed all of the bums Blue Ribbon winners. Participants included Patrick and Jayce Handran with their sheep, Biddie and Baby; Elena Ostendorf and her goat Dug, Elena's cousins also showed some Ostendorf Goats; Mesa and Wade Gaskill and their lamb Clyde, Ali Rumph and her calf MooPie, Jackson Mills and his calf Tip, Boe Escott and his calf Hazel; Keith and Rowdy Ryan along with their cousin Leslie Mae Jackson represented future Swede Creek Soap makers. Despite some stubborn bum calves and a few goats not sure this is where they were supposed to be, fun was had by all at the cutest show of the day.
