Town to conduct lead pipe survey

In the coming months, property owners in Broadus on city water will be contacted by the Town of Broadus to have their service water lines inspected. Raymond Ragsdale, with the Town of Broadus told us the inspection is part of a Federal mandate to check for lead water lines. Ragsdale told us Monday that Broadus is on either copper or black plastic line, but the inspection will double check to be sure, as well as making sure that the lines are in decent condition. The inspections are expected to take place this summer into fall.
