Regular Meeting

Commissioner Chair Lee Randall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioners Lori Fortner and John Olson were present.
Mid-Month Claim were then approved for payment of various county departmental expenses as submitted by the Clerk & Recorder’s office.
Jerry Coulter stopped in to visit about the baseball field fencing project. T-ball will start May 29 with 3 teams.
KLJ Engineering: Nathan Schroht met with board via zoom to discuss the capital improvement plan for the airport. New hangar will be built this year and next year will be crack seal the runway. Installation of weather station and taxiway lighting is also in the plan. FAA plans to make a visit soon to examine the airport.
Gravel Hauling Specifications: The board discussed payment and made the decision payment will be based on the weight hauled and the contractor will need approximately 8-10 haul trucks.
Transportation Director: Christy Olson reported on dial a ride for senior citizens when available. She also reported the van that was ordered is not what was requested. Christy had requested a van with a side lift and stated she will be passing on this van at this time and work with the dealer to get the van that has been requested. Christy Olson and Les Thompson will be attending spring conference in Bozeman. Christy reported the tin shed for tire storage will be here in June.
The commissioners then left the office to attend the Nursing Home appreciation dinner and adjourned the meeting at this time.
