The primary election will be held Tuesday, June 4th. The Broadus, Broadus North, and Broadus South precincts will be open from 7 am to 8 pm, and the polling places will be in the courthouse.
Voters in the Biddle precinct will vote at the Biddle Heritage Center, from Noon to 8 pm. Ashland voters will cast their ballots at the TRECO building from Noon to 8 pm. The Coalwood polling place will be at the Coalwood School from Noon to 8 pm.
Absentee ballots are due at the election office or polling place by 8 pm on election day.
Powder River County sent out 558 absentee ballots for the primary, and prior to the Memorial Day holiday, 145 of those ballots, or roughly 26%, had been returned.
Statewide, 447,924 ballots had been sent out, and 118,475, or 26.45%, had been returned.
As of Tuesday, May 28, Powder River County had 1,158 registered voters.
