Swimming Pool Set To Open

By Libby Nisley

The weather is starting to warm up, and with it the excitement is growing to open the pool. A tentative open date will be Tuesday, May 28th, weather permitting. Sessions are as follows:

Morning Laps: 7:00-9:00 (M-F Only)

Aerobics: 9:00-10:00 (M-F Only)

1st Session 11:00-2:00 (will begin later on lessons days)

2nd Session: 2:30-5:30

Night Session: 6:00-8:00

One major difference is that swimming lessons will be offered by the week, and not during the evenings. Here is the tentative schedule of levels offered and dates.

June 24-28 (Levels 1 & 2 between 10am-noon)

July 8-12 (Levels 3 & 4 between 10am-noon)

July 20-Aug 1 (Levels 1 & 2 between 10am-noon)

It is possible I will add additional weeks of lessons if the demand is great enough! We will start taking lessons sign-ups when we officially open for business. Class sizes will be maxed out at 7 students per class, with an up-front charge of $40 per student.

Passes will be $100 for individuals and $250 for families. Daily entry will again be $3 per person.

Most of the lifeguard crew is back again this year, starting with me at manager for my 4th year. Donovan Sturtz is again back as Assistant Manager. Eli Heacock and Zeason Schaffer are in their 4th year working at the pool, with Maddie Zimmer, Sean Oylear, Grayson Arithson and Alix Heacock returning for a second year. New guards will be Gracey Bradley and Kayleigh Nisley. Its great to have such consistent help.

We look forward to seeing you all at the pool to enjoy a refreshing swim this summer!
