On March 14th the Broadus Volunteers responded to a haystack fire north of Broadus. The fire was human caused, and was a total loss of 48 round round bales. The VFD prevented flying embers from spreading and causing further fire to the surroundings.
On March 18th at 2:10 PM, Broadus VFD rescue truck, and two ambulances from Broadus responded to a wreck just south of Volborg on Hwy 59. Custer County Fire along with Miles City Fire and ambulances from Miles City also responded to the traffic accident, which reportedly involved injury to one vehicle occupant.
