Montana State University Extension Family Economics Specialist Dr. Marsha Goetting will present succession planning for farm and ranch families at the second annual Eastern Montana Farmer’s Union Women’s Conference to be held February 2nd and 3rd at the Sleep Inn in Miles City. Goetting’s succession planning is one of many conference topics including land leasing and livestock and soil health and a special excursion to Tongue River Winery.
The Eastern Montana Women’s Conference provides time and space for women in agriculture to learn and network with each other fostering relationships and momentum to build more resilient farms, ranches and communities. The MFU Women’s Conference celebrates rural women and women in ag and brings them together in community to learn from one another, ask questions of presenters and panels, and make positive change in rural communities and local food systems.
“You won’t want to miss this year’s MFU Women’s Conference,” said Rachel Prevost, MFU’s member services and government affairs director.
Additional topics include wool and fiber, cooperatives, well-being in agriculture, ag innovation and more. For a more detailed agenda and to register, visit https://montanafarmersunion.com/mfu-events/womens-conference/.
