Robert (Bob) Earl Malley

Born February 20, 1929 in Ridge, Powder River County, MT to George and Alta (Johnson) Malley, Bob attended country schools in rural SE Montana, also attending school in Broadus.

He married Virginia Kusler from Plevna, MT in 1946. They had two children, a son Dennis born in 1947 in Baker, MT, and a daughter Gail born in 1953 in Wolf Point, MT.

Bob worked as a driller for oil exploration from 1952 to 1958, moved to Billings and worked for a supplier of oil exploration materials then moved to Anchorage, AK in 1964 and worked as a mechanic on off shore drilling rigs. He then worked as an auto mechanic for Ford and Chrysler garages and then in 1971 moved to Yakima, WA then Las Vegas, NV in 1984 where he worked as an auto mechanic until his retirement in 1991.

He bought a small hay farm and moved to Sweet, ID then moved to Emmett, ID after selling the farm.

After the passing of his wife Virginia in 2015 he sold his home and moved back to Billings in 2016. Bob loved to travel in his 5th wheel trailer and always thought that the grass was greener over the next hill. Over the years, he enjoyed riding horses, leather crafts, reading books and he loved dancing.

We would also like to thank Dorothy Hulett for being Bob's dear friend who embodied compassion, empathy, love and comfort to him the last years of his life. Bob will be missed by his family and friends. May he find eternal peace and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
