Chamber News

By Jessica Malone

As usual, it feels like summer flew by, so hopefully you had a chance to enjoy some of the many activities in our community. Thank you to everyone that attended and helped with 4th of July celebrations and congratulations to all the 4-H participants on a successful fair! School starts August 14th and we want to wish the students, parents and school faculty a great year! Be sure to check out the modified schedule at http://www.broadus.net.

Join us for our Chamber General Membership Meeting coming up on Wednesday, August 9th at 5:30pm at the office of Gardner & Billing CPAs. We’d love your input on upcoming Chamber activities, and we’re looking for ideas for our 2023-2024 positive partnership gatherings and community service projects. We’ll be voting on the budget and plan of work for our fiscal year, so we encourage you to attend and give us your feedback!

As we begin our new fiscal year, we want to acknowledge our amazing volunteers and board members for their work and announce the officers for 2023 - Melissa Billing, Past President; Megan Smith, President; Marni Gaskill, Vice President; Jessica Malone, Secretary/Treasurer; and Jessica Kuipers, Board Member. Thank you for your commitment to our community! If you’re interested in joining our board or serving on a committee, please contact a Chamber board member for details of our next meeting.

We encourage you to consider joining the Powder River Chamber of Commerce now to enjoy a full year of benefits! Download the membership application on our website (PRChamberofComm.com). Membership benefits include amazing advertising opportunities, including Facebook post sharing, website and Google Maps presence, and tourism website profile listings. Chamber membership isn’t just for retail businesses – we appreciate the support of service, agriculture and at-home businesses, as well as individual community members committed to helping us in our mission of building a better Broadus.
