Bring friends and walk or run the 4th of July Freedom Run. The 5-mile run begins at 7:00 a.m., a new 3-mile run or walk begins at 7:30 a.m., and the 1-mile run/walk begins at 8:00 a.m. All races start on the west side of Cottonwood Park in Broadus.
Registration for the 5-mile run and the 3-mile run is $30 (includes a t-shirt) in advance but increases to $35 the day of the run. Prizes will be given for the first-place finishers for both the male and female divisions in both the 3-mile and 5-mile events. The 1-mile run/walk is $5 for all walkers and runners. T-shirts are optional and cost $20.
Registration forms are available at the Broadus IGA, Post Office, The Coffee Shop, Corner Store and the Powder River County Extension Office or online at http://www.powderrivertrails.com . To have a t-shirt by race day, register by Thursday, June 22nd. Proceeds support trail development and maintenance in the Broadus area. The event is organized and sponsored by the Powder River Trails, the School Community Development Council and Powder River County MSU Extension Service.
