Girls And Boys Teams Qualify For State

On Tuesday, the Top 4 Hawk Golfers in boys and girls traveled to the Eastern C Divisional Golf Tournament in Laurel. A playoff between the Broadus competitors last week determined the teams for the tournament.
For the boys, the team was composed of Juniors Cooper Zimmer and Grayson Arithson, along with Sophomores Jayce Schroeder and Jeff Cahoon. Cooper Zimmer placed 4th individually, shooting a 93. The boys team placed 4th, and move on to State.
The girls team consisted of Senior Lauryn Billing, along with Juniors Emma Isaacs, Graci Barbero, and Aspen Krantz.
Isaacs placed 3rd individually, Barbero 4th, and Lauryn 9th, as the girls team won their second straight Divisional Golf trophy. Plentywood finished second, shooting six points behind the Broadus Girls' 315 score.
Divisional Golf scores:
Jayce Schroeder – 112, Grayson Arithson – 108, Cooper Zimmer – 93. Jeff Cahoon - 116.
Aspen Krantz – 143, Lauryn Billing – 109, Graci Barbero – 104, Emma Isaacs – 102.
State Golf takes place next Tuesday and Wednesday (May 16-17) in Great Falls.
