Conservation Corner

By PR County Conservation District

Created in 1953, the Powder River Conservation District (PRCD) was established to prevent and control wind and water erosion, build soil fertility, increase productivity and to effectuate the most desirable utilization of the land in order to promote the health, welfare, education, enjoyment and satisfaction of the people within the district.

To better accomplish these goals, the Conservation District has partnered with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Together these two organizations work to provide assistance and education to the local community regarding resident conservation and resource concerns.

In an effort to better interact and support you, the PRCD will be presenting facts and announcements via the Conservation Corner in our local newspaper. If you have questions or specific interests you would like to see featured, please contact us at (406) 436 – 2321 x111, elizabeth.riter@mt .nacdnet.net or stop by our office! We're located within the USDA building at 114 S Lincoln Ave., Broadus, MT.
