Prepare For Home Meet This Saturday

On February 11, eight Broadus athletes traveled to Gillette, WY for a large tournament at the Cam-Plex.
Placing 1st was Jesse Barnhart, who remains undefeated and unchallenged on the season. Also placing: Porter Talcott-2nd, Gunner Pluhar-3rd, Tizer Barnhart-4th, and Thane Kolka-4th. Also wrestling hard and winning matches were Cort Fleming, Monte Goggin, and Trey Harmon. Some of Cort and Tizer’s matches were won in overtime and late rally fashion, gathering quite a cheering section from both sides.
On February 12, six wrestlers traveled to Buffalo, SD. Team Ostendorf made their presence known with Sophie and Sawyer both placing 1st, and Lincoln placing 2nd. Sophie is also unbeaten on the season. Cole Draine placed 3rd. Also wrestling hard were Pruitt McDowell and Cody Draine.
On February 25, 16 wrestlers traveled to Baker. Placing as follows: Reuben Kinzer-1st, Cole Draine-1st, Tyler Jurica-1st, Lliam Schiffer-1st, Frank Schoonover-3rd, Myla Gatlin-3rd, Cody Draine-3rd, Thane Kolka-4th, Pruitt McDowell-4th, Landon Williams-4th. Also wrestling hard were Carson Williams, Wesley Kinzer, Trey Harmon, Tyson Schiffer, Savannah Potter, and Isabell Schiffer.
On February 26, 6 wrestlers headed to Terry. Placing as follows: Quincy Emmons-1st, Porter Talcott-2nd, Trace Emmons-2nd, and Cort Fleming-4th. Also wrestling hard were Monte Goggin and Gary Gatlin. Quincy won in dominating fashion and has racked up a pile of wins in his first season. Trace had a thrilling final match with Kyler Hagemeister, a tough wrestler from Miles City and grandson of Quirt and Jaci Phillips.
This Saturday you can watch these wrestlers and more at the PRCDHS gym, with wrestling starting at 9:30. We are expecting 125-150 wrestlers, come cheer them on!
