Mystery At The Museum Attracts Sleuths

The Mystery At The Museum Halloween event at the Powder River Historical Museum last Saturday drew around 100 visitors and raised nearly $900 for the museum, according to event organizer Jessica Malone. The “murder mystery” event treated visitors to a guided tour of the museum, where visitors would look for clues about the suspect, the weapon used, and the location of the crime, similar to the “Clue” game.

Those solving the mystery were entered in a drawing to win a prize basket donated by Kate & Delaney Ruland and Heather & Maddie Brownfield. The winner of the children’s prize was Boone Kinzer; winner of the adult prize was Laney Williams.

Local Author Shane Dunning was also on hand to tell a real life ghost story to the captivated audience.
