2022 Fairbook Is Dedicated To Tracy & Becky Anderson

By PR Extension Office

Longtime residents of Powder River County, Tracy and Becky Anderson have been involved in the Powder River County Fair for years.

Becky grew up on the family ranch in the Stacey community, northwest of Broadus. She was involved in 4-H for ten years and FFA for four years as she was growing up. Becky participated in a number of projects while in 4-H including sewing and showing cattle and sheep. Becky spent another twelve years involved as 4-H leader helping her own kids and many others with their projects. She continues to help youth learn and grow with a variety of 4-H projects and lifelong skills. Becky also served on the Powder River County 4-H Council for several years.

Tracy grew up on his family's ranch on the Tongue River southwest of Miles City and was involved in FFA for 4 years. Even though he never participated in 4-H he was always willing to help the kids with any of their projects. He helped many members develop feed rations for their animals and taught them how to trim their animals for the fair and taught them many lifelong skills. Tracy also served on the Powder River County Fair Board for several years.

Tracy and Becky helped restart the local FFA Alumni. They continue to support 4-H and FFA by sponsoring awards, helping young people with their projects and by donating several heifers to the 4-H calf scramble to help them start their own herd of cattle.

Tracy and Becky married July 7, 1990. They returned to Becky's family ranch in 1995 after having two kids, Taten (Megan) and Darcy (Colin). In 2001 they took over part of the family ranch where they continue to raise Black Angus cattle. Tracy & Becky continue to stay busy and enjoy life on the ranch and keeping up with their five grandchildren.

Tracy and Becky are best known for their faith, work ethic and kindness toward all and their support of community. They are quiet, capable and positive. As a result, they have had a tremendous impact on the lives of youth and adults who have been fortunate to work with these two inspiring individuals.

The Powder River County Fair is scheduled for August 9-12th. Fair books are available online at https://prco.mt.gov /Fair and hard copies are available at the Extension Office.
