Manor News

By PR Manor Activities Director Brittani Aurand

Many fun things happened at the Manor in the last month. We played multiple games from board games and Jeopardy, cornhole, played UNO, and the Price is Right, and of course we played BINGO every Friday. We tried a new activity; we took an armchair tour of Ireland and followed that with a party for St. Patrick’s Day. Although not huge fans of green beer we celebrated with green Italian Sodas, which were much enjoyed.

We had a good turnout of residents while we made crafts and painted by number, creating many unique designs. The residents and staff were able to enjoy visits from multiple pets. With the nice weather, the residents were finally able to go out on the patio and enjoy the nice afternoons. Later in the month the residents were able to get a taste of spring fever, by planting vegetable seeds for the garden we are going to have this summer, now if only we can get moisture to make the seeds and residents happy!

We had our monthly Ladies Tea and the ladies always look forward to the “elegant” social hour. We had the first Rusty Zipper Club since COVID hit and it turned out well, with gentlemen from the community coming in to have coffee and cinnamon rolls with the guys.

We hope to have another great turnout of community gentlemen this month for Rusty Zipper Club, so keep your schedules open for April 28th. We will try to have it the last Thursday of every month.
