Bidwell School House is Burned
The Bidwell log school house near Olive in District No. 78 was destroyed by fire, Wednesday night of last week. While the cause of the fire is unknown some believe is started from a defective flue. Some insurance was carried on the building as the policy was written last summer. This school was taught by Robert Bishop and was to close the 17th of this month after a six months term for lack of funds to continue further.
All the schools in District No. 78 are to close with the six months term completed. The Severovic and Lewis schools close today. The Kingsley school has three months to operate and the Irion school has six more weeks.
