Chairman Lee Randall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioners Donna Giacometto and John Olson were present.
9:00 a.m. - The board continued discussion of the update of the county cattle guard policy. Policy was not finalized.
9:15 a.m. - Road Supervisor Teel Mullanix stopped in to report an accident over the weekend on the Little Powder Bridge. No one was hurt and the bridge has been temporarily repaired.
9:30 a.m. - Clerk and Recorder Cynde Gatlin stopped in to discuss vehicle damage done on a vehicle’s tailgate at the landfill a few months back and asked board how they would like to proceed. The board agreed to repair the damaged tailgate.
11:00 a.m. – The board awarded bids for the motor grader. Bid was awarded to RDO Equipment. Purchase price of $314,500, trade in of $50,000, with John Olson motioning to accept, Donna Giacometto seconding the motion, all in favor, motion carried.
12:00 to 1:00 - Commissioners adjourned for lunch.
Commissioner Donna Giacometto was unable to attend the afternoon meeting.
1:00 p.m. - Resolution 2022-01, Commissioner Meeting dates, John Olson motioned to approve, Lee Randall seconded, motion carried.
1:30 p.m. - Resolution 2022-02, Posting Place for Commissioner Agenda, John Olson motioned to approve, Lee Randall seconded, motion carried.
2:00 p.m. - Commissioner Lee Randall informed board he has signed the documents to allow Powder River County to be involved in the Opioid Settlement for the State of Montana.
2:30 p.m. - Resolution 2022-03, Resolution to Amend Budget Resolution, ARPA Funding. John Olson motioned to approve, Lee Randall seconded, motion carried.
3:00 p.m. - Medical Administrator Sean Hill met with the board. Hill updated on the nursing home and clinic. Hill also updated the board of an upcoming management meeting at Manor to kickoff 2022.
After hearing no further public comment, the board will reconvene Monday, January 10, 2022.
