Tim Rumph

Timothy Owen Rumph of Missoula, Montana was called home on December 17, 2021.

Tim was born to Joy Colleen (Bird) Rumph and Daniel Eugene Rumph in Aurora, Colorado on June 19, 1960. Tim's father was career military so they relocated often, finally retiring in Broadus, Montana.

Tim graduated from Powder River County High School in Broadus. Tim was working in Belle Creek oil patch when he met Tracey Bircher of Renton, Washington while "cruzin" the town square of Broadus when she was in town helping her mother move.

They married in Kirkland, Washington on February 21, 1986 and soon after moved back to Montana, settling in Lolo.

Tim loved the outdoors and the Montana lifestyle. He valued hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. Tim had a great sense of humor and treasured his family and friendships.

Tim possessed a great work ethic and attention to detail. He was employed by Karl Tyler Chevrolet as the Inventory Manager.

Left to cherish Tim's memory are his wife of 35 years, Tracey Bircher Rumph; their daughters Lindsay Rumph and Kiela Rumph, Missoula; grandson Anders Bell, Missoula; brothers Dale Rumph (Kathy), Billings, Mt.; Nathan Rumph, Casper, Wyo.; mother in law Pat Stephens, Bonnie Lake, Washington; brothers in law Kelly Bircher, Bonnie Lake, Washington, Troy Bircher of Kent, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Dan & Joy Rumph, brother Craig Rumph, father in law Cliff Bircher, step father in law Ken Stephens.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 23rd at 10:00 am at the Carlton Cemetery in Florence. Following the graveside service, a memorial was held at the Lolo Community Church.
