Dave Vinson

David (Dave) Joseph Vinson - Spintig was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 20, 1955. He contracted pneumonia and passed away in his sleep at Billings Clinic on December 1, 2021.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts but moved to Lynn, Massachusetts at a young age with his family. In Massachusetts, Dave lived with his mother Beverly Spintig, and his adopted father George Vinson, sisters Barbara, Sandra, Diane, Cindy, Janet, and brothers Bobby, and George. He brought two kids into the world who share his love of Boston, Patty and David.

David's story is one that stretches over many states and even a country or two. He loved Boston, but my dad always dreamt of living in Montana, and eventually settled in his dream place, Montana. In Billings, Montana he met Sara Bradley; the couple had five kids, Brittany, Hope, Faith, Solomon, and Grace.

He was born unpredictable in many ways, funny, loving, protecting people, and a family oriented person. He was a free-spirit.

Dave loved guns and gave his daughter Gracey the nickname "Sheriff" for their shared love of guns at a young age. Dave loved collecting old coins and other kinds of odd valuables. Dave loved scary movies or thrillers. He loved to take his kids climbing on a crab apple tree in his backyard, where he also threw wild bonfires with his friends, kids, and family. He loved catching wildlife like snakes, frogs, and turtles to release them at nearby wildlife parks. Part of Dave's love for Montana came from his love of wildlife and his horse Chico, who he had when he was a young boy. Dave loved nature. Dave also loved the Boston Red Sox and went to many of their games. His love of Boston didn't stop at the Red Sox; he also loved the Celtics, and the New England Patriots. He gave many of his children Red Sox merchandise that he brought them from Boston such as bobbleheads, sweaters, and hats.

Ultimately, Dave's greatest loves were his kids, his teams, and wildlife. He was a proud Bostonian from Montana. Dave is survived by his mother and father, Beverly Spintig and George Vinson; siblings: Sandra, Cindy, Janet, Diane, Boddy, and George; his kids: David, Patty, Kim, Brittany, Hope, Solomon, Faith, Grace, and Sophia; and his nephews: Markus, Maxwell, and Mason.
