The 20th annual WTRC team roping was again a success with 820 teams roping for the weekend. Saturday was the iconic Father & Son roping which is always a fun event with many locals participating with moms and dads roping with their sons, sons-in-law, daughters, daughters-in-law, or grandchildren. This year’s big winners ending with the quickest time over many high-numbered respectable teams were Rod and Shauna Schaffer each receiving Raymond Williams memorial buckles. Raymond loved the Father and Son roping entering up with every son, grandson, granddaughter and son-in-law that he could – never leaving anyone out.
