Taylor Jordan Rexford was born in Miles City, MT, 01/14/1985. In 1994, the family moved to Broadus, MT where he lived until he graduated from high school. During this time, he participated in dance, soccer, and speech & drama. He enjoyed playing video games and hanging out with friends.
After graduation, he moved to Denver and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. Taylor loved Denver and spent the rest of his adult life there. He was a movie buff and was described by the manager of the theater as one of the people he was most excited to see. "He was the best part of some very long days & was beloved by my staff for his courtesy & humility."
Taylor was also regarded as a Trivia Savant among the pub trivia crowd, oftentimes competing by himself against teams of six, and winning. His friends would get calls from the trivia organizer to come down and sit with Taylor because he was making the larger teams look bad. Taylor was also a master gamer and enjoyed online play competing against other gamers.
After his Aunt Donnette passed away in March of 2020, Taylor called his Grandma Kay daily, just to check in and make sure she was ok. He had been laid off from his IT job at a travel agency due to COVID and I think the daily conversations were mutually beneficial. His friends in Denver also referenced mutual wellness checks during the pandemic. It was good to know that he had a circle of caring friends. For many years they shared holidays together and took in the local renaissance fairs and traveled to Comic-Con Events.
The summer of 2020, Taylor traveled to Montana to spend time with his Grandma Kay. The two of them came to North Dakota and spent a few days. Later that year, he and Grandma drove to Spokane to see Uncle Wayne for his birthday. Taylor was extremely close to his grandparents. When he was little, it was not uncommon to see Grandpa hovering behind Taylor making sure he didn't fall or get hurt. It came full circle that, as an adult, Taylor was making sure that his Grandma Kay was ok.
We talked every Tuesday evening (our wellness checks). Each week we would discuss job prospects in the Denver market, interviews he had been on and just general chit chat about the pandemic and everyday life. I will miss these weekly visits, his quiet demeanor and kind heart.
He began having health issues in February of 2021. After multiple trips to the ER, he was finally hospitalized on June 21st and after a valiant fight passed away June 30th.
Taylor was preceded in death by his Grandpa Squeed (Donald Rexford) and Aunt Donnette Rexford. He is survived by his Grandma - Kay Rexford, Mother - Susan Keller (her husband Dennis), Brother - Cody Danielson (his wife Gracie & Taylor's nephew Sam), Sister - Kathryn Danielson and Step-father Frank Danielson.
A memorial service will be at the Lion's Park in Hysham, MT Sunday, September 5th from 1-4 p.m.
