Broadus Music Students Travel to Learn, Perform

By Lisa Lynch

On June 14-19, members of the Broadus and Colstrip Band and Choir found themselves on the long awaited music trip. This year the group traveled to Idaho. The first day, both the band and choir performed and worked with professors from both M.S.U.- Billings, and Bozeman.

The next day they traveled to Coeur d'Alene, ID, they enjoyed the Triple Play Family Fun Park, and a River Boat Dinner Cruise on the Coeur d' Alene River. Wednesday the Band and Choir performed at the Silverwood Amusement Park, then continued the day with rides and a water park. Thursday was a trip to Wallace and a trip down under to a Silver Mine Tour. This was lead by an actual miner that had worked at the mine for 25 years.

Friday the bus was headed toward home after a 3 mile gondola ride. Saturday we arrived home. Thank you to everyone who supports the music program and helps to make these trips possible. With education from working with professors to performances at an amusement park, to finding one where silver comes from, it was a great experience.
