Thirteen students gathered last week at the Boyes Community Hall for 3 mornings last week for this year's Vacation Bible School sponsored by Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
As usual, it was an energetic time of Bible story, music, crafts and outdoor fun. The extreme heat didn't squash any enthusiasm. Pastor Julie Long and Molly Lloyd led the children as we focused on the 3 main festivals in the church year: Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. Singing Christmas carols is fun anytime of the year.
We'd like to thank our youth helpers: Addison Draine and Keegan Schaffer as well as Kathy Heidel, our adult assistant. Yummy lunches were provided and served by Stacie Ostendorf, Rebecca Boman and Heather Brownfield. Thanks ladies! And we could not have done this without the generosity of the Boyes community who allows us to use their hall for this fun event.
