Broadus Golfers are ready for state

Broadus golfers competed at Harlowton, Sidney, Broadus, and went to Baker for a dual against Wibaux over the last week. In Harlowton, both boys and girls teams placed third, with Cooper Zimmer qualifying for state with a 100, and Lacey Robinson qualifying for state with a 117. At Fairview, the Broadus girls snagged a first place win as a team, beating several other Class C schools as well as Class B Baker. The Boys placed 4th. At Broadus, Kortny Cathey qualified for state by golfing a 99, making a full team of five boys available for next week’s state tournament at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman. The Broadus girls will also have a full team of five for state. The teams consist of four competitors and an alternate, with the top three scores counted towards the team’s total.

At the Wibaux dual in Baker, Senior Hawk Joziah Brost golfed an 88 for his personal best score – a good time to be peaking as he heads for state.
