Powder River Health Fair is 25 years strong and still going-YIKES how is that possible. Some of our workers have been here every year and that is amazing, shows you just how committed these people are to this service for our area. We are offering the same blood tests as in the last couple of years, please call 436-2651 to reserve a time or if you have questions. We have set April 22th, 2021 starting at 7:15 am for those who need to be at work by 8:00 am. We are working on having a breakfast available, but unsure yet on a firm commitment.
Billings Clinic laboratory is offering screening blood studies at the same price as last year, (GREAT NEWS.) The tests offered are Chemistry Panel for kidney, liver and heart enzymes with electrolytes, Lipid panel for Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL and HDL and TSH (Thyroid hormone), PSA (for the men over 50), CBC- complete blood count for infections or anemia, Vitamin D 25-OH level, Hemoglobin A1c for diabetics. These are all screening tests and this is your copy of the results to take them to your health care provider for review. Your results will be back within a week and we have information on each test available if you want it. If you are unable to pick up your results within a week, we ask that you please bring a self-stamped and addressed envelope for each person with test results and we will mail them to you. If someone else will be picking these up, please sign a note telling us who has your permission to pick up your results.
For those in the Boyes/Hammond area, Debbie Harrington has again agreed to schedule, Julie Russell, Taylor Price and Leah Harrington will draw at the Hammond School. Please call her @ 427-5383 to schedule a time. Please bring your stamped, self-addressed envelope and money to the blood draw and your results will be mailed to you as soon as they are available.
The success of the Health Fair is only because of our faithful volunteers in this community who help year after year, in fact, most of our help have been with us for all 25 years, which says something about our community volunteers. Please thank them when you see them, as this would not happen without their help. Thank you, Terri Bird, Lynnette Janssen, Stacey Brown, Jaci Phillips, Tina Thompson, Krista Gnerer, Darlynn Williams, Lori Stokes, Cherie Stachey, Randy Sullivan, Sharon Collins, Julie Collins, Leah Harrington, Cynde Trucano, Tami Bayles and Debbie Harrington. We thank Jena Devries for he help with Billings Clinic laboratory. Louise Talcott has have graciously offered to take your blood pressure while you are waiting or after you have your blood drawn. Pat Hanlan will greet you and have Buddy Poppies available in honor of Veterans.
We ask that you pre-register and pre-pay by Thursday, April 15th, 2021 to allow for the necessary paperwork to be completed. We are NOT able to draw anyone who has not signed up by this time. Come in for your annual screening blood tests, have breakfast and coffee with your friends and neighbors.
