Chamber News

It seems no one is more grateful for the warmer temps than our local ranch operations. We wish you continued fair weather and successful calving, lambing, shearing and bull sale seasons! Thank you for supporting our community and for the hard work that continues the agricultural legacy in our region.

Congratulations to the PRCDHS Broadus Hawks boys and girls basketball teams for well-played seasons and District tournaments! Especially with ticket limitations, we appreciate the local businesses whose sponsorship makes it possible to keep up on the action from home. For all the college basketball fans, we regret to announce that due to COVID cancellations last year, the Chamber has decided not to continue with the Sweet 16 Calcutta this season. We’ve been in touch with other organizations that may take up the event, but nothing is currently scheduled.

2021 brings implementation of a new Chamber meeting structure and our board conducted the first of our Positive Partnership Gatherings in January. Hosted at Stockman’s Club, we sat down with new owners Brad Field and Twilla Hanson and discussed the joys and challenges of small town entrepreneurship while enjoying a few appetizers and drinks. If you haven’t been in to check out the expanded menu and refurbished kitchen, it’s definitely worth a visit. We then set up a new visitor information display in the restaurant entryway. COVID closures of our Rest Area Visitor Information Center has made it difficult to provide travelers with local and regional tourism information, so we are pleased to now partner with Stockman’s Club to offer free travel guides, maps and brochures.

If your business is interested in joining the Powder River Chamber of Commerce & Ag or partnering with us on a new or existing project, visit our website http://www.PRChamberofComm .com or email us at [email protected].
