Todd and Nicole Gardner are the new owners of Broadus Insurance, a locally owned company which has been a staple of the downtown Broadus business community for many years.
The Gardner couple are Powder River County natives, both graduating from PRCDHS in the mid-2000s. Todd and Nicole are parents to three children – Griffin, age 7, Mariah age 4, and Nash, at six months old.
The decision to enter the insurance industry came about in part because the couple wanted to be close to their kids and watch them grow as they entered their school years, while also being a part of a solid, customer service-oriented business that is as much a part of the community as they are.
Todd will begin work in the office at Broadus Insurance this week, while Nicole will start after the first of the year. Previous owners Pete Wenzel and Jade Boggs will stay on with the business for a period of time to help train the couple, and ensure a smooth and seamless transition for customers. Current employees Sommer Schaffer and Lori Stokes will stay on with Broadus Insurance, and Todd tells us that there will be no changes to speak of – customers will see the same great service and reliable insurance coverage they've come to expect from Broadus Insurance.
During a Monday interview, Todd said: "I'm excited to get to know our customers, and excited to be a part of the Broadus business community".
Broadus Insurance is an independent agent with a variety of insurance options, including commercial, farm and ranch, crop, worker's compensation, health, life, home, auto, and many other options to suit the customer's needs. They may be reached at 436-2608.
For those looking to meet the Gardners, or those old friends looking to congratulate the couple on their new venture, Todd and Nicole will be helping to serve roasted chestnuts, hot dogs, and hot chocolate this Friday at the Christmas Stroll in front of Broadus Insurance, from 4-7 PM.
