OUR SAVIOR’S
LUTHERAN CHURCH-ELCA
Pastor Julie Long, 436-2457
“Rooted in the Word, Dwelling in Christ, Branching out for the sake of the World”
With spreading COVID-19 cases and for the safety of all worshipers, “in-person” worship is currently suspended. Links to weekly recorded worship are posted on our Facebook page and sent via email. Contact Pastor Julie to be added to the email list.
Again, this year we observe two Advent wreaths. During each Advent worship we will extinguish a candle from the wreath representing attitudes and actions to be changed or transformed. A corresponding candle on the second Advent Wreath will then be lighted, representing transformation and renewal.
Sunday December 6 (Advent 2) Worship theme: “Joel-God’s Promised Spirit “
Sunday December 13 (Advent 3) Worship theme: “Spirit of the Lord is Upon Me”
Sunday December 20 (Advent 4) Worship theme: “Jesus’ Birth Announced”.
Additional Advent Worship with scripture, prayer, candlelighting and music, led by Pastor Julie and Pastor Nick Knoblauch (UCC) will be posted every Friday on both church Facebook pages.
In addition, Pastor Julie will post midweek Advent reflections on “Stations of the Stable’.
Christmas Eve Worship: Possible safe “in person” options under discussion. Home Christmas Eve worship resources will be provided as well as a link to recorded Christmas worship.

Church Council: 12/13
Christmas Eve: 5:30 pm
The Congregation has decided to move forward with a modified public worship service. For the foreseeable future, we ask that all attendees: 1: wear a facemask 2: spread out 3: sign-in for potential contact tracing 4: wash hands/use sanitizer when necessary. The Council decided Sunday worship is a sacred time where all should be safe to freely worship God. If for any reason you are unable to attend worship, but would like to participate, email Pastor Nickknoblauchnicholas@ gmail .com and he will add you to the mailing list of our full Sunday worship service.
