The items on display at our Library include the stuffed animal collection of Sammie Hart. Earlier this year she had offered to display her collection when she was invited to participate with the set up when Dorothy King displayed her bears.
Her collection turned out to be smaller than the case space so it seems appropriate to display her Grandpa Rick Hart's crafts to fill the 4th shelf. Sammie helped her Grandpa name this collection "Raindrops". She told her Grandpa that they were not teardrops; they were raindrops.
Rick used to whittle hearts from various wood species. Around the time he began chemo for his cancer treatment in October 2019, he began crafting drops, hearts, and other items from mussel shells found along the Yellowstone River, coconut shells, and various species of trees and antler.
You must see the collection for yourself to see the time, patience and talent that went into this collection. It is truly amazing. Thank you Sammie, and Grandpa Rick and Grandma Lisa for sharing your collections with us!
