Auxiliary prepares for Veteran's Day

By Annie Brimmer

Veterans, the “virus” has caused many things to be canceled, rescheduled, or modified this year. It has not changed our appreciation for all you gave and sacrificed to protect and serve this great country, the United States of America. Whether it was from the time our forefathers gave to create a “more perfect union” or the conflicts of more recent times, on native soil or in foreign lands, you gave and sacrificed. You did this on land, sea, and air. Veterans have helped with non-combat issues as well as combat. Some gave all, their lives, others returned home with both emotional and physical scars as vivid reminders of all they had experienced.

Our VFW Auxiliary annually takes part in or presents a program on Veteran’s Day to honor our Veterans. Because of the COVID, we are not able to do this, but on behalf of the VFW Auxiliary we are using this article to let you, our veterans, know you are loved and appreciated. All you gave and did is not forgotten and neither are you. May your lives be filled with peace and blessings.
