When not operating McLeod or working as Postmaster, Judy loved to snowmobile, 4-wheel, travel, and attend her grandchildren's activities. She also enjoyed having the whole family home at McLeod on the holidays. Judy welcomed all into her home and no one was a stranger.

The spring of 2020 saw Judy and Vic purchase a house in Big Timber, Montana. Here Judy made a new home for herself and Vic.
