Mayor Lyman Amsden; Councilperson Pete Wenzel; Councilperson Cody Morris; Councilperson Lori Turnbough; Public Works Raymond Ragsdale; and Clerk Peggy Fruit.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance, Mayor Amsden called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Minutes of the previous meetings were submitted by Clerk Fruit, Councilperson Wenzel moved to approve them as submitted. Councilperson Turnbough seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Works Ragsdale reported he continues with general maintenance for the water and sewer departments. Work will begin working on the lagoon project the first part of February.
With no further business before the Council, Mayor Amsden adjourned this meeting of the Broadus Town Council.

March 3, 2020

Following the Pledge of Allegiance, Mayor Amsden called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Minutes of the previous meetings were submitted by Clerk Fruit, Councilperson Wenzel moved to approve them as submitted. Councilperson Turnbough seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Works Zimmer is away at water/sewer school.
Public Works Ragsdale reported he has continued to do general maintenance on water and sewer; rip rap being done on lagoon cell 3; and completed excavation for lift station/wet well.
Council moved and approved the 1st draw on SRF Loan and 1st payment to contractor.
With no further business before the Council; Councilperson Turnbough moved to adjourn. Councilperson Smith seconded the motion. Mayor Amsden adjourned this meeting of the Broadus Town Council at 6:30 pm.

May 5, 2020
Mayor Lyman Amsden; Councilperson Pete Wenzel; Councilperson Wanda Smith; Councilperson Lori Turnbough; Public Works Raymond Ragsdale; Public Works Cassidy Zimmer; and Clerk Peggy Fruit.
Mayor Amsden called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Councilperson Turnbough moved to approve payments and draws for the 2nd and 3rd payments. Councilperson Smith seconded the motion. Motion approved by all in attendance. Clerk Fruit presented the Council with Amendment #2 to the original contract for $20,000 increase for construction administration and observation. Council tabled item for one week to consider increase.
Public Works Zimmer has begun patching with all weather patch; park water way has been fixed from the flood; merry go round at park is broken beyond repair will consider more options prior to fixing; getting bids for chip sealing some of the streets to try and save them; getting culverts this week for the Lincoln Avenue FEMA project; bladed alleys and opening the park bathrooms.
Public Works Ragsdale reported the fence is in and continuing to monitor the lagoon project.

June 2, 2020
Mayor Lyman Amsden; Councilperson Pete Wenzel; Councilperson Wanda Smith; Councilperson Lori Turnbough; Councilperson Cody Morris; Public Works Raymond Ragsdale; Public Works Cassidy Zimmer; Clerk Peggy Fruit; Guests: Bill Worman, Nathan Rumph and Connie Rumph.
Mayor Amsden called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Connie Rumph discussed with Council the 3 lots she has for sale on Lincoln Avenue. The question concerning filling in part of the creek bed was discussed and was decided since that is a waterway, it cannot be filled until FEMA is contacted and a written response is given. Elevation Certificate will need done on the property where the mobile home will be placed.
Lowell Cutshaw, Interstate Engineering, phoned the meeting to discuss the change order for the lagoon project. The change order will be for a $20,000.00 increase in professional services, the project as a whole is coming in less than predicted at this time. Councilperson Turnbough moved to accept the amendment to the engineer contract as written. Councilperson Morris seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Clerk Fruit presented the SRF Draw #4 for approval. Councilperson Wenzel moved to approve the draw. Councilperson Morris seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Public Works Zimmer updated the Council on regular work done over the past month; had community service worker for two days; FEMA park project has been completed; bids for FEMA street project have been sent; and new merry go round has been ordered.
Public Works Ragsdale reported on general water maintenance; discussed a sludge removal machine; discussed lagoon project; having issues with the sewer main getting plugged with hand wipes.
