Commissioners Proceedings

August 10, 2020

Commissioners met for their weekly meeting; Rod Schaffer and Lee Randall present, Donna Giacometto, absent.

Meeting was called to order.

No public comment was received at this time.

Consent agenda – Rod moved, Lee seconded this motion, all in favor, motion carried. Consent agenda approved.

Marty Drane met with the board and updated on various items. Drane asked the board for approval to begin the stack replacement at the courthouse, and the board approved. Mike Stevenson met with Drane to discuss the sidewalk in front of courthouse. Stevenson will work on plans. Commissioners also asked for quotes for sidewalk replacement at the Community Center.

Road Supervisor Teel Mullanix met with the board for his weekly meeting. Discussion was held on gravel hauling, Ranch Creek Road and various road issues.

Rita Harden, Senior Citizen Director, met with board to visit about the center. Commodities were discussed. Harden is working on the reopening plan. Sidewalks in the winter were discussed and the need to keep them cleared off. Harden would like to create a Facebook page for the center and will continue with newspaper ads. Senior meals were also discussed.

Cemetery Board members Katie Ward and Valli Fulton met with board to discuss the 2020-21 budget.

Aletta Shannon stopped in to present a key form for the judges’ door in her office. Shannon will be removing her name and adding Vanna Byrd.

Sean Hill phoned in to visit with commissioners and discuss the rearrangement of a business office within the nursing home and clinic.

Julie Emmons Stoddard met with board and Karl Yakawich, Great West Engineering, on the phone. Discussion was held on the process of the bids. The Moorhead Bridge will be the first bridge replaced. Yakawich informed the group the survey and design need done ASAP, then permits and finally bids to be let out. The project will start next week. Yakawich also stated bridge removal will be added into bid specs. Yakawich will get the 2020-21 budget to the county.

Commissioners met for their second meeting of the week. Rod Schaffer and Lee Randall present, Donna Giacometto absent.

The meeting was called to order.

No public comment was received at this time.

Rod Schaffer left meeting to attend interviews in Treasurer’s office.

Commissioners Randall and Schaffer discussed and reviewed the county’s pay schedule.

Commissioners Randall and Schaffer left meeting at 1:00 to inspect the Ranch Creek Road.

No public comment was heard at this time.
