Donnie was born at the Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, MT on October 9, 1970. He was living in Helena at the Eagles Manor prior to his death.
He is survived by his parents David and Jeannie Burley of Snowflake, Arizona formerly of Livingston, Montana and a twin sister Donna (Terry) Fairchild of Livingston, Montana. His nieces Andrea Fairchild of Salt Lake City, Utah and Madison Fairchild of St. George, Utah. His grandparents Allyn and Flora Isaacs of Sonnette, Montana and Dallas and Ethel Burley of Broadus, Montana. Two uncles Fred (DeeDee) Isaacs of Ashland, Montana, Nick Isaacs of Snowflake, Arizona. Aunts, Patricia Kikkawa of Honolulu, Hawaii, June Graham of Billings, Montana, Jeannette Larsen of Billings, Montana, Jessica Sloan of Stanford, Montana. Plus, many cousins! Deceased aunts Jackie Meissel of Oak Harbor, Washington and Margie Burley Valdez and Violet Burley Lyons of Douglas, Wyoming.
He was a Park High graduate in 1989 and enlisted in the Army and went to Ft. Rucker, Alabama for basic training. He was an OH58 helicopter mechanic. The military sent him to many different places. He served in the Persian Gulf in Desert Storm. While in the Army he earned many medals such as the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Overseas Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal and a Sharpshooter Marksmanship to name a few.
After he was honorably discharged from the Army he primarily worked in construction. He will definitely be missed by many friends and family! I'm sure he's in Heaven running marathons and riding his favorite motorcycle!
The Memorial Service will be August 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Montana State Veterans' Cemetery in Helena.
We will be having a reception at the City Park in Helena after the service.
