Commissioners met for their weekly meeting with all members present.
The meeting was called to order.
No public comment was received at this time.
Consent agenda – Rod moved, Donna seconded this motion, all in favor, motion carried. Consent agenda approved.
Road Supervisor Teel Mullanix met with the board for his weekly meeting. He reported Marian Barber will be conducting a final meeting on July 20. Mullanix reported the rear end of the blade is shot, and presented quote from RDO. He updated on pit statuses. Garst Road was discussed and Mullanix updated the commissioners on where the road crew is working. The board and Mullanix then began the 2020-21 budget meeting.
The board conducted interviews for the Senior Citizen Director position.
Cynde Jo Gatlin, Clerk & Recorder, met with board. She asked the board for approval for a Facebook posting request form; the board approved. She also visited with the board about the Medical Advisory Board and their request for a form that will be signed off on whenever the board corresponds with the commissioners. Gatlin submitted Clinton Watters resignation for his duties at the Recycling Center and the 2020-21 Wilhelm Land Surveying contract for the landfill. Gatlin also presented a universal interview process for the county and exit interview survey, and department head quarterly reviews. Gatlin also asked about the commissioner’s plan to reopen the Senior Center. The board stated they will wait until the health board meeting to make a decision.
The board then met with Wendy Twedt, 911 Rural Addresser, to discuss the 2020-2021 budget.
The board accepted Clinton Watters resignation and instructed the Clerk & Recorder to begin advertising for this position. Gatlin stated this position fell under Watters duties at the landfill and a new position will actually need to be created if the county sees it is a necessity.
The board then discussed the Compensation Board meeting for next week. Rod Schaffer motioned to appoint Molly Lloyd, Supt of Schools, Cynde Gatlin, Clerk & Recorder, and Allen Drane, Sheriff, to the Compensation Committee for fiscal year 2020-21. Donna Giacometto seconded, all in favor, motion carried.
Kathy Roberts, Transportation Department, met with board to discuss the 2020-21 budget. Roberts also stated Thelma Taylor has resigned from her board position on the Council on Aging and Transportation Board.
The board then discussed the agenda item of taking Commissioners salary to 3/4.
Julie Riley stopped in to ask about extra cleaning help at the fair. Commissioners told her to contact the Cleaning Department and see what they are able to provide.

July 14, 2020
Commissioners met for their second meeting of the week with all members present.
The meeting was called to order.
No public comment was received at this time.
Mary Rumph, Extension Office, stopped in to ask about the pool hours. Sawdust for the fair was discussed. Commissioner Schaffer stated he ordered 3 loads. Rumph asked that it be spread by the July 27. Schaffer also informed Rumph he will be taking a fair board member with him to show them how to work new panels.
Tammy VanTine met with board. Leafy spurge was discussed. VanTine updated that her intern is here until October 15. RAC will be assisting in finances and hopes the county will help financially in the next couple years.
Molly Lloyd, Supt. of Schools, met with board to discuss the 2020-21 budget.
Becky McEuen, DES Coordinator, met with board to discuss the 2020-21 budget.
The Health Board meeting began at 10:30 a.m. Commissioners, Sean Hill, Darlynn Williams and Jami Jo Schroeder were present. Williams will take official minutes for meeting.
At 1:00 p.m. the board met with Sean Hill, Darlynn Williams, Vikki Klemm, and Kerry Gardner to discuss 2020-21 budgets.
Commissioner Randall motioned to move the commissioner’s salary to ¾. No second to the motion, motion failed.
