Earlier this year, area residents watched a new building take shape at the former Mobile gas station location, located across Hwy 212 from Cottonwood Park.
The building and property, now owned by Broadus native Jesse Fleming, will open next Monday, August 3rd, as Fleming & Long Insurance.
Jesse is a 1999 graduate of PRCDHS, growing up on a ranch south of Broadus where he learned to team rope and continued on to much success in the sport over the years. During a recent interview he commented that the move and new business came about because he always felt like Broadus was home, and wanted to return to the area.
Jesse and his wife Ashley, along with their kids Mesa, age 9, and Cort, age 6, plan to move to Broadus in the near future.
Fleming started in the insurance business after moving to Wolf Point in 2008, initially working with his father-in-law, Clint Long. Clint had 35+ years of experience with Farmer's Union Insurance, serving on the Montana Board of Directors. Long retired seven years ago, and since that time Jesse has operated out of the Wolf Point office, while Ashley works as a teacher in Vida, a small school north of Circle. Fleming tells us he still works with Farmer's Union and specializes in farm, ranch, and crop insurance, but is also able to provide most any other insurance a client may desire.
Jesse told us he's looking forward to being back in the community, and also looks forward to providing the community with the service and knowledge in the insurance industry gained from being a born and raised rancher.
Fleming & Long Insurance will officially open their doors in Broadus on Monday, with office hours of 8-5, closed at noon. Their office phone number is 436-2115.
