Jerry Stabio

Gerald Wayne Stabio (Jerry) passed from this earth on April 2, 2020 after occupying his body for 31,652 days. Jerry was the eldest of five children born into the marriage of Joe and Kathryn (Weeding) Stabio. He attended schools in Broadus, graduating from high school in 1951. He participated in football and baseball. Jerry loved cars, hunting, fishing and arguing. He loved coffee too, frequently taking a thermos of coffee with him when he left home.

After graduating, Jerry worked for Broadus Ford before going to work for the State of Montana Highway Department as a surveyor - a position he held for 30 plus years, including stops in Broadus, Jordan, Wolf Creek, Cutbank and Chinook.

Jerry married Marilyn Smith in 1952, and three children were born into that union: Rick, Linda and Gerri Michele. Jerry's heritage includes six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Jerry married Coleen Fox in 1969 and enjoyed 40 plus years of marriage living in Chinook. Coleen's two children, Corey and Shannon, lived with them for several years and added a nice dimension to Jerry's life.

No services are planned at Jerry's request. He will be missed, but we know that wherever he is, he is trying to convince them that Chevrolets are better than Fords.
