(BILLINGS, Mont.) –The Bureau of Land Management Billings Field Office will begin taking public comments regarding long and short-term management objectives for an updated Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range Herd Management Area Plan.
Comments must be received no later than May 15, 2020. Comments should be specific to short or long-term objectives directly related to herd characteristics or habitat characteristics for the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range.
The plan will cover areas administered by the BLM, National Park Service, and U.S. Forest Service which comprise the 38,000-acre range located along the Montana-Wyoming border. Currently the appropriate management level is 90 to 120 horses.
