Governor Bullock’s directive on March 30, 2020 provides for all travelers to self-quarantine for 14 days to ensure they have not been exposed to COVID-19.
Powder River County Board of Health advises all community members to avoid areas of population if at all possible. The likelihood of being exposed to COVID-19 is greatly increased through travel. This includes, Rapid City, Spearfish, and Belle Fouche, SD, Gillette and Sheridan, WY, Billings and Bozeman, MT, as well many others both in state and out, whom have a large number of confirmed cases.
As a rural community we have a great ability to limit exposures by following basic guidelines.
Stay home - keep kids at home - practice good hygiene - clean and sanitize- limit exposures from traveling- limit exposures to travelers coming from other places.
Please follow guidelines from the CDC, Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services and Powder River Public Health.
CDC recommends wearing a cloth mask when in public. Follow guidelines for use found at cdc.gov.
If you or someone you know needs a well check, supplies, food, or other services please reach out. There is help available for any community member who is in need.
