Powderville by Mrs. John Davidson
Ron Giacometto of Belle Creek and Larry Earl McGill were Sunday afternoon and evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry McDowell and children.
A good showing of patrons gathered at the Powderville Post Office on Wednesday to protest the closing of the post office. A representative from Billings and the Postmaster from Miles City were present to present their side of the story. The patrons and the route men are all upset at the closing. Postmaster Nina Schaffer has submitted her resignation, effective the first of April. Nina has been postmaster for the past seven years and has served us well. The Powderville Post Office has been in existence for over 100 years. Hopefully, there will be a solution.
