A study by The Lancet Psychiatry, analyzed the sitting behavior of more than 4,000 young people ages 12, 14 and 16. They then looked at instances of depression once the youth reached 18. They discovered that for every additional 60 minutes of sedentary behavior per day there was an associated increase in depression. They also found that ANY degree of physical activity, including WALKING that reduced the time spent sitting down, was beneficial for our mental health. People of ALL ages need to MOVE MORE and SIT LESS! Huffingtonpost.co.uk

“I was surprised to learn how easy it is to get my 10,000 steps when I simply walk to work,” explained Katie Riley, member of Maddy’s Minions.
